CDT Europe aligns its Brussels office with its mission

CDT Europe works at the intersection of digital rights, privacy, and democratic values. When the organisation opened its Brussels office, the space needed to support the team while reflecting a mission rooted in responsibility and long-term change.

The furniture brief was therefore about more than filling rooms. CDT wanted a practical workplace that showed sustainability could be treated as a design principle.

Relieve helped CDT Europe browse available inventory, select pieces that matched the office needs, and create a cohesive setup using second-life furniture.

The final selection included desks, chairs, meeting tables, and storage, all chosen to support daily work without compromising on aesthetics or values.

The project saved 3.3 tonnes of CO2 and rehoused 70 items. It gave CDT Europe a practical office that also acts as a physical expression of its mission.

Every reused table and chair reinforces the same message: the systems organisations build, digital or physical, can be more ethical, inclusive, and sustainable.
