Accessibility Statement

Draft prepared: 23 July 2026. Publication and last-review dates will be added after approval and final manual review.

This statement applies to the Relieve marketplace website. It explains our accessibility goal, current assessment status and how to ask for help or report a problem.

Our accessibility commitment

Relieve wants its website and marketplace to be usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies. We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. We include it in design, content, development and release review, and we prioritise issues according to their effect on people's ability to find information or complete an important task.

Current status

The refreshed marketplace is undergoing final automated and manual accessibility review. Relieve does not currently claim full conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

This statement will be updated with the assessment outcome after the release candidate has completed keyboard, screen-reader, contrast and translated-content testing.

What we test

The current review covers representative versions of:

  • Global navigation and footer
  • Search, sorting and filters
  • Product listing and product-detail pages
  • Cart and checkout
  • Account creation, authentication and account functions
  • Contact and sales-enquiry forms
  • Legal and support content in English, French and Dutch

The review combines automated checks with manual assessment of:

  • Keyboard operation and visible focus
  • Screen-reader names, roles, states and announcements
  • Heading structure and page landmarks
  • Form labels, instructions and error messages
  • Text and interface contrast
  • Zoom, reflow and responsive layouts
  • Page language and changes of language
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images
  • Link and control purpose
  • Long and translated content

Automated tools alone cannot establish conformance, so final signoff depends on the manual review.

Known limitations

The final manual review is still in progress. We have not yet published a definitive list of verified limitations. This does not mean that no accessibility barriers exist.

When a limitation is verified, we will describe the affected feature, its practical impact, any available alternative and the intended remediation status here. Urgent barriers to search, product information, cart, checkout, authentication or contact will receive priority.

Feedback and support

If a page, form or feature is difficult to use, or if you need information in a different accessible format, email info@relievefurniture.com.

Please include, where possible:

  • The page or feature you were using
  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened
  • The browser, device or assistive technology involved
  • The format or practical support that would help

Do not send passwords, full payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information.

The Website Product Owner is responsible for accessibility feedback and remediation. We aim to acknowledge an accessibility report within five business days and provide a substantive response or a clear next step within fifteen business days. More complex remediation may take longer, but we will explain the status.

We will work with you to provide a reasonable alternative where possible while an issue is being investigated or corrected.

How we review this statement

We review this statement after a material website release and at least once every year. We also update it when testing identifies a material limitation or when a significant issue is resolved.

The review records the scope, methods, release tested, findings and follow-up owner. Publication and last-review dates are updated when a revised statement is approved.
