Henkel clears an office floor through circular logistics

Henkel Belgium needed to clear an entire office floor quickly, with more than 700 items to handle in just one week. The timeline was tight, but the project still needed to match Henkel's broader sustainability commitments.

Fast removals often lead to poor visibility and unnecessary waste. Henkel wanted a better route that could separate reuse potential from material recycling without slowing the transition.

Relieve handled the full clearance process: sorting, recovering, redirecting, and maintaining traceability across chairs, desks, storage units, and equipment.

Reusable pieces were moved into the reuse network. Items that could not be reused because of condition, age, or format were disassembled and processed through certified recycling partners.

The project saved 19.68 tonnes of CO2 and rehoused 389 items. It showed that even urgent office clearances can be handled as responsible resource flows instead of simple waste removal.

For Henkel, the project turned a compressed operational task into a clear example of circular logistics in practice.
